Help the victims of Typhoon Sendong

Ondoy in 2009, Sendong in 2011. Climate change is something that we should take seriously. The littlest of things that we do to damage our environment can cause a massive destruction to every humankind and Cagayan de Oro City (in the province of Misamis Oriental) and Iligan City (in Lanao del Norte) in the island of Mindanao, Philippines witnessed the force of nature first hand. Typhoon Sendong (Washi, international name) caused heavy rains in the said provinces. The mountains surrounding the cities of Cagayan de Oro and Iligan could not bear the downpour of continuous rains that lasted for hours, and with most of its trees gone due to illegal logging, the waters have nowhere else to go but down to the cities causing flash floods that killed thousands.
